More 2020 MTV Video Music Awards performers have been announced: Set for the August 30 show are the Weeknd, Roddy Ricch, Maluma, and CNCO. They join the previously announced acts BTS, J Balvin, and Doja Cat.
The 2020 VMAs are scheduled for 8 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, August 30. The live performances will take place at different New York locations. (MTV and Barclays Center had previously planned to host the event at the Brooklyn venue but recently decided against it.) The 2020 VMAs will be hosted by Keke Palmer.
The Weeknd made his VMAs debut in 2015. He was announced as a 2017 VMAs performer, but did not end up taking the stage that night. The Weeknd is up for six awards at the 2020 VMAs, including Video of the Year (“Blinding Lights”) and Artist of the Year.
