Pitchfork reports that Live Nation also confirmed the news, with a statement that the tour was canceled “due to unforeseen circumstances.”
Azalea was set to tour North America for the first time in four years. Concerts were scheduled in 21 cities, kicking off in Hollywood, Fla., on Oct. 27.
Earlier this week, opening act CupcakKe announced she would no longer be taking part in the tour “due to a change of plans.” On Friday, she offered more details on Twitter, where she wrote: “Listen y’all , I went from getting paid 330k on this tour to 30k that’s what I mean by “change plans”……………. THIS WAS NOT IGGY THAT CHANGED PLANS !!!!! It was the ones that put it together !!”
